چکیده
We discuss abstract Birman—Schwinger principles to study spectra of self-adjoint operators subject small non-self-adjoint perturbations in a factorised form. In particular, we extend and part improve classical result by Kato which ensures that the spectrum does not change under perturbations. As an application, revisit known results for Schrödinger Dirac Euclidean spaces establish new three-dimensional hyperbolic space.

The Spectral Action Principle
We propose a new action principle to be associated with a noncommutative space (A,H, D). The universal formula for the spectral action is (ψ,Dψ)+ Trace(χ(D/ Λ)) where ψ is a spinor on the Hilbert space, Λ is a scale and χ a positive function. When this principle is applied to the noncommutative space defined by the spectrum of the standard model one obtains the standard model action coupled to ...
متن کاملRemarks on the Spectral Action Principle
The presence of chiral fermions in the physical Hilbert space implies consistency conditions on the spectral action. These conditions are equivalent to the absence of gauge and gravitational anomalies. Suggestions for the fermionic part of the spectral action are made based on the supersymmetrisation of the bosonic part.
متن کاملSpectral Methods and a Maximum Principle
Various spectral Chebyshev approximations of a model boundary layer problem for both a Helmholtz and an advection-diffusion operator are considered. It is assumed that simultaneously the boundary layer width tends to zero and the resolution power of the numerical method tends to infinity. The behavior of the spectral solutions in the frequency space and in the physical space is investigated. Er...
متن کاملSpectral analysis: principle and clinical applications.
This review article describes the principle and clinical applications of spectral analysis. Spectral analysis provides a spectrum of the kinetic components which are involved in the regional uptake and partitioning of tracer from the blood to the tissue. This technique allows the tissue impulse response function to be derived with minimal modeling assumptions. Spectral analysis makes no a prior...
متن کاملThe spectral shift function and the invariance principle
The new representation formula for the spectral shift function due to F. Gesztesy and K. A. Makarov is considered. This formula is extended to the case of relatively trace class perturbations.
